Ningaloo and Karijini 2008
I didn't think any Karijini trip could be as good as 2007, but it was. And it had Ningaloo as well.Four days of snorkelling and paddling the reef and sleeping under the stars in our swags by night. Then 10 days in the Pilbara. Once again the gorges of Karijini worked their magic on us, the spectacular walking rewarding us with refreshing dips in those wonderful pools guarded by the beautiful white barked eucalypts. And this time we added Hamersley Gorge and the Chichester Ranges to our repertoire. For the full blog click here. I can't wait for the Kimberley in 2 weeks time.
Dwellingup Delights- another chance!
This trip booked out very quickly and many people were disappointed. And Banksia Springs, the place where where we stay, is SO hard to get a booking. But they had a cancellation so I've managed to score a second weekend- 29th-31st August. Same deal - meet on the Friday night, walk about 20km on the Sat and a shorter walk on the Sunday. It's such a nice place to stay, this weekend is a great get away that you don't have to drive far to enjoy! Click here for more details.
Digital Dwellingup
This is a great chance to learn to use your digital camera to its full potential. I did this course last year and it made a huge difference to my photography. Karen Castle is the professional piotographer who runs the course and it is held at Banksia Springs Lodge in Dwellingup. You get such instant feedback and she gives individual attention whatever your level may be. Karen came on our Karijini trip, click here to see her photos-they are amazing. The course runs from September 2-4, click here for more details.
OTHER TRIPS
There are still places on both the Cape to Cape walks, a spot on one Walpole to Denmark trip and several places on Albany to Denmark. So if you want to enjoy spring walking better decide now! Hope to see you soon.
